Bangle
Designed and handmade by Elmar Rothbrust
“Brilliant Brisbane Award 2003” The motives on the bangle represent Brisbane and Queensland. Moreton Bay and the river are highlighted with blue Colorit.
The City is represented by tiny 18ct. gold buildings and Mt. Cootha Botanic Gardens, by a sphere of 18ct gold. Sapphires for the sapphire fields. Opals for the opal fields. Real gold nuggets for the gold fields. 18ct. gold Great Dividing Range. A reticulated edge for the McPherson Ranges in the south. The Story Bridge, when pressed down will open the bangle.


Kris with Flame Blade

The blade is made from stg. silver and 18ct. gold. The handle is made from ebony and inlaid with stg. silver. The Kris is presented in a handmade box of flame She-Oak.
Neckpiece
Designed and handmade by Susan Rothbrust
A neckpiece using the mokume gane technique of gold and silver, also 18ct. The white and yellow gold features are 3 Kimberley diamonds in champagne colour and a Queensland/Australian boulder opal in blue tones. This piece has a repousse finish representing the boulders of Kangaroo Point cliffs, Brisbane.

Stg. silver, 18ct. gold and fine gold. Four silver spheres of different sizes. Three 18ct. gold spheres of different sizes, each sphere separated by 5 flat rings. In each segment of 5 rings, one of the rings has a wrapping of fine gold wire. One of each lot of 5 rings is polished.
A Pair of Cufflinks

Gunmetal held by 18ct. gold settings. The gunmetal is inlaid with 24ct. gold. The 18ct. gold and gunmetal mechanism is also inlaid with 24ct. gold.
