
At The Goldsmiths School, we aim to provide our students with a practical knowledge and arm them with skills in the fine art of Goldsmithing. We aim to produce jewellery of high quality employing traditional hand techniques and original classical design.
Our unique school caters for novice and advanced students of all ages (minimum age is 16) in a friendly and creative atmosphere offering a range of subjects and courses dependent on level of skill and knowledge.
Students undertake a wide range of projects designed to teach or extend techniques and tool handling skills, utilising instruction and physical demonstration. Students progress through the course at their own pace and undertake more challenging and complex projects as skills are mastered.

The school is owned and run by Elmar and Susan Rothbrust, both qualified Goldsmiths, Silversmiths and Jewellery designers & teachers with Australian and international experience in the trade. After running a successful wholesale manufacturing business and a design studio, they then founded the successful Goldsmiths' School in 1980.
